I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. – Psalms 139:14
Earlier in the week, we explained that a “STAR” is a fixed luminous point in the night sky that is a large, remote incandescent (glowing) body like the sun. In a play/show, a “STAR” is the principal performer, the center of attraction, or focus of the play. The birth of Jesus was announced with the brightest star in the sky, it outshone other stars in the sky, signifying His importance to the world (Matthew 2:1&2).
Just as Jesus was announced to the world at birth, you were also announced to the world at your birth because you are equally a “star,” a celebrity and very special person. You birth may not have been announced by a visible star, but heaven rejoiced that a star had come into the world. God formed you wonderfully in your mother’s womb and packaged you as a gift to your world; you are not here by mistake; you are laden with divine potential. In the eyes of God, you were born as a priceless original.
As the Father sent Jesus, so has He sent you to light up your world because you are the light of the world. Jesus said, “The works I do, you will do also…” because He lives in you by His Holy Spirit. Therefore, you are to be a solution to people’s problems, a blessing and a joy bringer. You are to succeed and excel in God’s purpose for your life, you are here to shine, don’t let your light be hidden under a bushel of shame, timidity, fear or people’s opinions.
Just as a star shines for all to see, you were not meant to die in obscurity, you are to light up somebody’s or some people’s world…you are a book to be read, a story to be told, a model to point people to God’s light and a guide to many in your generation. The world is awaiting your rising, O bright STAR!
I prophesy over you that you will shine bright into 2018; your star will appear for all to see, God will put you on a lampstand, the great will seek you out, and kings will come to the brightness of your rising, in Jesus name!
Have a prosperous new year in advance!
Jeremiah 1:4-5, Isaiah 60:1-3 & Matthew 5:14-15.
+ Thank God for making you marvelously; and for His faithfulness all through 2017.
+ Pray that the Lord will be the lifter of your head in 2018; that you will not live in obscurity but will be outstanding wherever you are and in all you do.
+ Bless your 2018 and declare what you want it to be for you, standing on the authority of God’s word.
