Ephesians 5:8-17
William Shakespeare said, “All the world is a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” It would have been much more true to say that “All the world is a market, and all the men and women buyers and sellers.”
Every day is a MARKET-DAY, and every evening brings its BALANCE-SHEET to us: things bought and things sold, with the net GAIN, or, it may be, LOSS.
FOOLISH people are always selling the BETTER things for the WORSE; while the WISE buy the more PRECIOUS and ENDURING things, at the cost of that which they can more easily part with. The foolish sell the SUBSTANCE for the SHADOW, and the wise sell the SHADOW for the SUBSTANCE; that is the main difference between both of them.
As you go out today, be mindful of the BARGAINS you make. Think PROFIT and LOSS. Don’t sell your reputation for money. Don’t sell your body for pleasure. Don’t sell future business opportunities for a mediocre job. Don’t sell your conscience to get promotion from men. Rather, sell the praise of men to get the praise of God, sell your time to buy wisdom and acquire knowledge. Sell your best efforts to get future opportunities, true relationships and lasting wealth.
What will you SELL today? What will you BUY today?
May your Monday be crowned with MASSIVE gains!
