“And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.” ~ Exodus 3:7
REFERENCE:
As we draw close to the end of the year, one thing satan likes to dangle before our eyes is what it seems God has not done on our goals for the year. His purpose is to suggest that God has forgotten you or is unmindful of your situation. He makes it look like God suffers amnesia or is blind and cannot see. I want to lift your spirit and let you know that God has not forgotten.
If any group of people ever felt like God forgot them, it was the children of Israel. I can imagine praying and hoping for four hundred years; they must have concluded that slavery was their destiny and that God was either helpless or unmindful of them. However, God saw everything they went through. Isaiah 63:9 says, “In all their affliction He was afflicted;” He told Moses, I see their oppression, hear their cry, and know their sorrows. God has not forgotten.
God kept Israel in Egypt in their formative years for their preservation and growth. Israel began as Jacob and his twelve sons, who were cattle-breeders. Their enemies would have conquered them and stopped them from becoming a nation. So, Egypt was their breeding ground, and since Egyptians despised shepherds (Genesis 46:34), they kept them in Goshen, where they had room to grow undisturbed. It also gave way to the greatest deliverance ever recorded.
Israel’s sojourn in Egypt paints the picture of salvation: deliverance from sin, the power of the blood of the Passover Lamb, water baptism, the supremacy of God’s power over satan’s, the extent God will go to free us from bondage, divine provision, etc. It hints at learning obedience through suffering, etc. When it seems God is delaying, He is working good out of our situation.
God has not forgotten you. Today marks the day of your visitation; heaven will open over you, and favor will locate you. The God who did not forget Hannah, Sarah, and Noah will remember you. Your waiting days are over. Situations are now turning in your favor, and those assigned to give you the required assistance on your journey will begin locating you in Jesus’ name.
