I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13
REFERENCE
Philippians 4:13
It is possible to succeed in life if nobody believes in you, but it will be difficult to if you don’t think you can. You (working with God) must take your destiny in your hands. Putting Philippians 4:13 in context, Paul was speaking of God’s ability in him to go through times of plenty or lack without any change in his determination for the work of the Kingdom. However, I use the phrase ‘I can’ as today’s topic to reveal God’s ability in you to you. ‘I Can’ suggests, I am able to, I have what it takes, I have the permission to and that’s how I usually am.
The strength of this verse is the fact that Christ strengthens you, but you must understand that without the first clause of ‘I can,’ the second part will be useless. If you don’t believe you can or if you think you don’t have what it takes, then what will the strength of Christ benefit you? Therefore, there is a ‘Great You’ that if it cooperates with God, can do all things.
Of course, Paul is not calling you to indulge your fancy and to tempt God to answer every whim of yours. He does not mean that you can do just anything you want, especially if it does not bring glory to God or is in line with God’s will for your life. Rather, that whatever God in His plan has purposed and designed for you to do, you can do it.
If God says you should go preach to the world, even if you don’t feel qualified, you can do it. If God says you should start a thriving fashion business, you can do it, even if you have no capital to start. God believes greatly in you, the problem is, do you believe in yourself? ‘I CAN’ is a disposition you must maintain at all times…anything other than that opens the door to fear and failure; it aborts your dreams and desires even before they are born.
Many people believe that God can do great things, but they just don’t believe He will do it through them. When the devil sees someone like this, he doesn’t waste his time with them; they have by themselves stopped themselves. Even God can’t do much with them unless He first addresses that mindset.

CONFESSION
I believe and confess that I can do all things God has purposed for me to do on earth; I boldly declare that my dreams and desires will not be aborted because of fear. I will accomplish great feats and bring glory to God through Christ who gives me the strength in Jesus’ name.
God believes in me, I must believe in me.
I choose, I can
