JUDGE GOD FAITHFUL: FULLY PERSUADED

By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. -Hebrews 11:11

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity to have God’s promise of a child fulfilled in her life, Sarah came to a point where she esteemed God’s character above her need for a child. She started from unbelief, moved to doubt, but got to a place where she judged (considered) God to be faithful; whether she had a child or not. She must have said, “I may not have a child, but my God is always good, always kind, always mindful and always merciful.”

When Sarah came to this understanding, her miracle could no longer be delayed. Why? There is nothing that pleases God more than to be believed, and nothing displeases Him more than to be disbelieved. It is recorded here that Sarah received strength to conceive and bore a son when she was past child bearing age only when she JUDGED God faithful. I believe this happened because God is looking for those who will love Him from a genuine heart; those whose testimony about Him will not just be because of what He does, but because of who He is.

It is important that you get to that same place of understanding that Sarah got to because when you truly know God you will not be anxious. This is because you become fully persuaded and nothing can shake your faith, and when the devil comes to dissuade you with thoughts like, ‘’the year is coming to an end and your expectation has not come to pass,’’ you can look him straight in the eyes and tell him that because your expectation has not come to pass does not mean God has changed, that you still trust God’s heart even when you can’t see His hands. When you do that he will have no choice but to flee from you.

God is still on your team; so, relax and enjoy Him. Before you were born He had prepared everything you would ever need, just like a good parent prepares for the welfare of his children before they come on the scene. However, to truly relax in God, you have to be fully persuaded of His faithfulness. Sarah judged God faithful; you must also ‘judge’ God. No one can do it for you, you must draw your conclusions about Him, and your conclusions about Him will determine the power of your faith to draw results into your life. The area of God you are fully persuaded about God is the area of God you will maximize in your life!
