“He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil…” ~ I Peter 3:10
REFERENCE:
We all desire to see good days in life, so we hope, pray, and work. Although it eludes many people, it is a possibility. Good days mean having peace, being free from troubles, debts, the yoke of a debilitating illness, etc. Our text reveals that if ‘good days’ is what we want to experience or see, it will have much to do with our tongue and what we say.
Solomon said that the power of life and death lies in the tongue. The tongue can create peace, joy & prosperity, but if misused, it can also create misfortune, pain, and losses. When God wanted to ‘see’ good days at creation, He employed His words. He spoke into a chaotic mess, and beauty appeared.
Words are containers of power. To experience the power that produces ‘good days,’ make your tongue your friend, not your enemy. Life is like a restaurant; it serves you what you order on the menu. Life has a menu; what orders are you placing? Blessings or setbacks, health or sickness, favor or ill luck, progress or failure, or joy or pain? The choice is yours!
A few personal experiences where my tongue made me see ‘good days’ come to mind:
a. Years ago, when I was ready to get married, I was out of a job, broke, and living with a friend. Nothing was working. I took three bible verses which I confessed daily. Nine months after I started, I saw good days. I had a job, lodging, and cars, and I got married debt free.
b. I woke up once and wanted to know what it felt like to have a million naira (the first time in my life). I decided to start declaring it daily. Someone gave me a little over a million naira three months later, saying they felt led by God to do so.
c. I lived in a duplex I desired to buy off. I employed my tongue and daily declared my desire. After about nine months, we lost the house (we couldn’t raise the full money). However, about 2-3 years later, we owned one through installment payments. I saw good days.
What you see in life is connected to what you say in life. Ezekiel spoke as commanded, and he saw dry bones become living men. When released, words are powerful. Some realities exist beyond and are better than the one you live in; it is the ‘good days.’ If you want to see these good days, use your tongue cautiously and deliberately to release a preferred tomorrow.

PRAYERS:
+ I uproot every negative word I have spoken over my life; there shall be a crop failure. I declare they will bear no fruits in my life, and I will lose no grounds because of them.
+ Every faith-filled word I speak will succeed in doing what I intend; it will go into the world, carry out my desire, and bring my desired results in Jesus’ name.
+ I declare right now that “I ____________________ will see good days in the land of the living.
